:: Beginning Scuba Diving

There is nothing like the clear cool waters brushing against every inch of your body. The gentle tone of the sea glistens as you wonder about in the endless blue dream.

Learning to scuba dive allows you to explore the other 70 percent of the world. It brings you closer to the various types of colourful fish and sea creatures, as they welcome you to their world with endless bounderies.

If you wish to just have a taste of scuba diving, without committing yourself to a certification course, you could opt to attend an Discover Scuba session.

This session allows you to try out the scuba apparatus in confined waters such as a swimming pool, in the presence of a qualified diving instructor.

For those of you who have already decided on learning to dive, your entry to the world of scuba diving starts off with the Open Water Diver course.

The course teaches you the workings of scuba diving theoretically as well as practically.

It consists of lecture, a series of skill sessions in shallow water or a swimming pool, and four or more certification ocean dives, weather permitting. The certification dives usually take place in 40 feet of water, but no deeper than 60. You will also have to complete an exam in order to be certified.
