:: Open Water Diver

The Open Water Diver course allows you to have an internationally recognised scuba diving certification upon successful completion of the course.

As a certified Open Water Diver, you have the freedom to dive anywhere in the world. You will be able to experience the wonders of the under- water world that spans over 70 percent of the earth.

Why Open Water Diver?

The open water is where a student really learns to dive. First, by perfecting skills gained in the pool and classroom, and second, through the learning of safety techniques and emergency procedures that can only be acquired in open water.

By repeated exposure to open water under the watchful eye of a professional instructor, the student reaches a level of comfortable performance with competencies in the varied diving areas.

What do I need to start?

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. For children aged 10 to 14, they will be presented with the Junior Open Water Diver certification upon successful completion of course.

- Minimum Age: 10
- Ability to swim 200 metres in any style
- Comfortable in water
- Medically Fit

What does the course include?

The course will include a minimum of 2 theory sessions, 2 pool/confined water sessions and 5 open water dives. In addition to that, you will have to pass an Open Water Diver examination.

What will I achieve?

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certification package that includes a Open Water Diver wallet card and a certificate.

How long will it take?

The Open Water Diver course can take anywhere from a weekend to one week, depending on your schedule and preference.

Where will it be conducted?

The course can be conducted either locally or abroad, depending on your preference. We strongly recommend that the course be conducted in Pulau Tioman as water conditions there are very suitable for training.

How much will it cost?

The course costs anywhere from SG$550 onwards for a one week course inclusive of a weekend trip to Pulau Tioman.
